St Patrick’s Day Party!
St Patrick’s Day, is a day full of pride and celebration. How do we as a society celebrate our country and special moments? We join together for a party, sit around the table, drink, dance and play games. This lead me to my concept, ‘Old Traditions’. The way in which we celebrate, has remained the same throughout all the years. Therefore, with this concept, I wanted to create a St Patrick’s Day event, using physical mediums such as paper, stamps and magazine cut outs.
For the process, I printed and tore the faces of the band members of Mary Wallopers, as well as scanned old and new magazines and cut out the letters on Photoshop, to look like they were hand cut. Next, I stained paper with tea bags and coffee for the background of my event poster. Next I took letter stamps and scanned the stamps and removed the background on Photoshop.
